Masters of Science in Computer Science and Software Engineering
In September 2018 I started working on my Masters in Computer Science at the University of Washington, Bothell. After 2 years of hard work, dedication, and more than a few late nights, I graduated in June 2020 with a GPA of 3.65.
My Master’s Thesis, “Augmented Space Library 2: A Network Infrastructure for Collaborative Cross Reality Applications” focused on creating a network SDK for the Unity game engine. It was built using AWS GameLift Realtime as its back-end service and allowed its users to create cross reality (AR/VR) applications inside of Unity. You can find my Master’s thesis on ProQuest (Order No. 28001429), but you can also find it here. You can find the project files and documentation here.
Some of my favorite classes from my time at UWB are listed below:
Advanced 3D Graphics
Machine Learning
High Performance Computing
Algorithm Analysis
Independent Study - Game Design
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
In August 2014 I officially started my path towards a future in Computer Science and programming by attending Northwest Nazarene University. Four years later, two years of which I was a research assistant for the FireMAP project, and one year as a software engineer intern at a local company, I graduated with a GPA of 3.826.
For my senior capstone project I created a web page that would allow users to upload a image they wished to use as training data for various pixel-based machine learning algorithms. The application would allow users to label specific pixels or regions of pixels from that image and then extract that information in a form that FireMAP’s machine learning algorithms could utilize. My senior thesis paper, with code, can be found here. Unfortunately, the application cannot be viewed currently due to local servers at NNU never going online before I graduated (the application however is still being used, just in a local, offline manner).
Some of my favorite classes from my time at NNU are listed below:
Data Structures
Machine Learning/Data Mining
Being Human: Theology/Psychology Reflections
Science and Science Fiction
Embedded Systems
Linear Algebra
Networks/Data Communication
